When world class organizations like Harvard University, YPO, EO, and others want to help their people succeed at home, they call Jim Sheils. As the founder of 18 Summers, Jim is on a mission to deepen relationships for entrepreneur families. And his book, The Family Board Meeting, has been a game changer for me and my family.

Jim and his wife have been referred to as “Crazy Glue for families.” His work helps parents connect with their children in fun and experiential ways, revolutionizes life as a family, and helps entrepreneurs balance success at work and at home.

Jim’s views on education are also very much in alignment with my own, and he’s working to change our education system to better prepare children for the more practical affairs of life - and you’ll soon know why his book was recommended to me over and over again.

Who are the people in your life who rub you the wrong way because of what they say or do? Is there anyone who you hold resentment towards?

Maybe it’s much deeper than just being “rubbed the wrong way”—maybe you’ve been wronged and deeply hurt by someone in your life.

In today’s solo podcast episode (this may be one of the most important episodes I’ve ever recorded), I explore why we judge others, how that’s detrimental for us, and how to never judge another person again—no matter what they say or do—so that you never have to suffer from the negative emotions that judgment creates.

I also share my own experiences with forgiving people who have wronged me, practicing unconditional love, and why I always replace judgment with empathy—even with difficult people and in seemingly impossible situations.

Jon Berghoff walked into Christopher Lochhead’s Play Bigger keynote at the One Life Fully Lived conference in Sacramento in 2016. Just a few minutes in, Jon realized that Christopher was expertly teaching how legendary companies (like Facebook) become that way by designing a category.

Over the last few years, Christopher has gotten one question more than almost any other: “How does ‘category design’ apply to me if I’m not going to be the next Mark Zuckerberg?” His answer is Niche Down - a book about how “small” entrepreneurs and people who are seen as unique, different or ground-breaking achieve great success by developing niches of their own.

He joins the podcast to share success stories of entrepreneurs selling crazy socks, sushi burritos, bundt cakes, reggae, surfing, and more - and you’ll almost definitely be surprised by what you learn.

You may remember a month or so ago when I emailed about the experience of me convincing my daughter to watch a documentary, which inspired her to ask me if we could deliver care package to homeless individuals, the next morning.

Well, we did exactly that, and I’ve been blown away by the impact that the film made for her and our family.

The film was Look To The Sky, and after being so moved by it, I reached out to the man who made the film, and asked him if I could interview him on the Achieve Your Goals podcast. It is my pleasure to introduce to you, Brett Culp.

After serving as a personal cinematographer to Hollywood stars, iconic musicians, authors, athletes, and even royal families, Brett Culp has built a unique career telling tales of everyday superheroes. His heartwarming films capture human experiences and inspire people all over the world, and his work has been featured in USA Today, Entertainment Tonight, Wired, and The Hollywood Reporter.

It wasn't very long ago that Chip Franks was taken out on a stretcher in the middle of a conference for entrepreneurs after just having a stroke. As his wife cried and his children were alone in their hotel room, one question consumed his mind: "Did I tell them everything I wanted to tell them?"

This led to him quitting his job to write a book outlining everything he’d want his kids to know if he wasn't around. The result? Life Lessons From Dad: 101 Ways To Get More Out of Life From Someone Who Loves You - a 685 page handbook for life.

Chip is an entrepreneur at heart - he started early, selling calendars door to door as a child, and went on to build and sell a real estate and property management company after 20 years as a broker. He’s shared stages with Tony Robbins, Peter Diamandis, Lewis Howes, Daymond John, Simon Sinek, and today, he joins the podcast to share life lessons and his practical instructions for how to realize them.

When Nick Santonastasso was born, he was given a 30% chance of surviving birth. One of only 12 people in the world born with Hanhart Syndrome – an extremely rare genetic disorder that caused Nick to be born with no legs, only one arm, and one finger. Growing up was hard, and Nick found himself self-loathing and thinking about ending his life.

However, more than just surviving, Nick found his WHY when he became a high school wrestler and professional bodybuilder. Now, he is sharing his experience with people all over the world as a keynote speaker at schools, non-profits, as well as Fortune 500 companies. He can even count Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Tony Robbins among his admirers.

I’m meeting Nick for the very first time today on the podcast. He shares stories of how he overcame his limitations to achieve everything he’s ever wanted, so that you can do the same.

You’ll hear about what he did to survive the darkest years of his life, and how he’s built a truly extraordinary career out of using challenges to inspire people to push through their suffering and live life without limitations - just like he does.

Conversations are at the core of how we interact. We all know that conversations influence us, but we rarely stop to think about how much impact they have on our well-being and our ability to thrive.

How effective would you say that you are at having conversations that significantly and positively impact the lives of the people on the other side of those conversations?

Jackie Stavros is the author of Conversations Worth Having: Using Appreciative Inquiry to Fuel Productive and Meaningful Engagement, in which she teaches us how we can communicate better and flourish in all areas of our lives.

When Jon Berghoff started the Flourishing Leadership Institute, he asked Dr. David Cooperrider for help. David’s response? "You need to talk to Jackie. She is a pioneer in the methodology of the work that I do." Jackie has since become a close mentor to Jon, a dear friend, and extraordinary at helping individuals and organizations to upgrade the conversations that they’re having.

Matt Recore (or “Matty” as I call him) is one of my best friends in the world. We met in 1999, our connection was instant, and we stayed up talking like schoolgirls until three o’clock in the morning. :^D

Since then, we’ve developed an extraordinary friendship. He was a groomsman in my wedding, I became an ordained reverend to perform his and his wife’s marriage ceremony, he was by my side in both hospitals, during my car accident and my cancer journey, and we both happen to be mildly obsessed UFC fans. :^)

Matt was also always financially ahead of everyone else I knew. He became a millionaire and figured out how to build wealth at a young age, and has kept it going—and growing—ever since. Everyone wants to achieve financial freedom to live the life they want, and today Matt joins the podcast to share not just how he did it, but how you can do the same.

He also introduces his new book, How to Purchase Real Estate at 0% Interest: To Help Sellers Get What They Want and To Accumulate Paid Off Houses Faster For Your Retirement, in which he shares stories of how he exploded his net worth.

Like many of you, I first discovered Mel Robbins through her TED Talk, How To Stop Screwing Yourself Over. Though it has over 14 million views, it’s just one of her major successes. She is also the author of The Five Second Rule, one of the most-read books of 2017 and an all-time best-seller on Audible, where she also now hosts Kick Ass with Mel Robbins.

Today, Mel tells her story – how she became the Mel Robbins – in a candid conversation about her life, family, parents, values, and what made her who she is.

A few years ago, I was invited to speak at an event for the non-profit One Life Fully Lived. While I was there, I saw David Osborn speak for the first time, and I was captivated by his rare blend of authenticity, transparency, expertise, and contribution.

He shared his story of transforming from a troubled youth into a self-made millionaire, showing us where every dollar came from as he amassed a fortune worth over $70 million. I’d met a few other millionaires, but none at that level - and few who were willing to openly share the real secrets to their success in a sincere effort to help others.

You may have seen my email on Monday announcing that David and I co-authored a new book, Miracle Morning Millionaires: What the Wealthy Do Before 8 AM That Will Make You Rich.

On today’s podcast episode, David shares his story, his background, and gets you inside the mind of someone who has achieved the financial freedom we'd all love to have. No matter who you are or what your personal income level is, you’re sure to benefit from his knowledge and insight.

Over her 40+ year career, Linda Smith has reached the summit of the legal profession. She’s litigated on behalf of IBM and Intel, and dealt with male egos as big as Michael Dell’s and Mick Jagger’s without ever breaking a stride.

Linda is also a blogger and author at MeanestWomanAlive.com. She writes about confronting gender stereotypes, self-sabotage, alpha males, and how to seize and hold on to leadership positions. She believes that women should abandon the societal norms dictated by men and use their own playbook - as well as uniquely feminine advantages - to dominate in business.

Today, Linda joins the podcast to discuss that playbook, Smashing Glass and Kicking Ass: Lessons from the Meanest Woman Alive. We talk about why a lack of women in leadership roles holds both women and great companies back, the potentially traumatic experiences that helped Linda become who she is today, and what “mean” really means.

Benjamin Hardy has been the #1 writer on Medium.com since 2016. He writes about self-improvement, motivation, learning, and entrepreneurship, organically receives over 1,000 new email subscribers daily, and works to help his readers live in alignment with their highest values and visions.

Last month, Benjamin sent me a copy of his new book, Willpower Doesn’t Work: Discover the Hidden Keys to Success. I started reading it immediately and was hooked. It’s phenomenal. Challenging everything we’ve been taught about what it takes to improve our lives, ourselves, and achieve our goals (hint: it’s not willpower), Benjamin enlightens us with a new paradigm that I believe is revolutionary in personal development.

Today, he joins the podcast to talk about the book, what it means to be 100% committed to anything you truly want to achieve, and the power of shaping your environment. If you’ve ever set goals and fallen short of them, this is a must-listen.

What if you could listen to music every day that not only sounded great, but the lyrics actually programmed your subconscious mind so that you automatically felt happier, more grateful, and even more motivated?

You’re about to meet the man Brotha James (Real Name: Jeremy Reisig), who has dedicated his life to creating “Music with a Message.”

He is a musician, speaker and entrepreneur, who is on a mission to spread love and joy through music, messages, and inspirational living. His positive energy is contagious and his enthusiasm for creating, playing and performing helps him engage audiences of all ages.

In this 2-part rhythmic conversation, join two of my greatest friends, Jon Berghoff and Brotha James as they jam out to 6 different songs, each with a meaningful message that will help you to become the best version of yourself and start living life to the fullest.

What I absolutely love about Brotha James is that every single lyric he writes, is written with purpose and his message to all audiences is the same: be a dreamer, be animalistic in pursuit of those dreams, be good to yourself and others, and be grateful.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

During Part 1 of this conversation, you’ll get to experience 2 of my favorite Brotha James songs:

  • Song/Message #1: “Gratitude”—Instead of focusing on the negative, learn how to reprogram your mind to see gratitude all around you and use it to propel your life forward.
  • Song/Message #2: “Living In the Front Row”—What can you learn from your Front Row experiences? Reflect on your front row moments, write them down and see how that feeling transforms your life.

Plus, you'll also get to hear:

  • The story of how Jon Berghoff and Brotha James met.
  • How to change lives with the power of positivity and random acts of kindness.
  • And so much more…
