Are you ready and prepared to achieve your most important goals for 2019 and make it the best year of your life (literally)?

We just concluded our 5th annual Best Year Ever [Blueprint] live experience where 500 members of the Miracle Morning Community came together in San Diego and engaged in a process designed to accelerate their personal and professional success in 2019 (and beyond).

Today, we want to share some of the key lessons with you—a highlight reel, of sorts—from the event, so that you can immediately begin applying these lessons and preparing to make 2019 the best year of YOUR life.

Joining me today is my business partner and guest host, Jon Berghoff, founder of Flourishing Leadership Institute, as well as Jon Vroman, founder of the Front Row Foundation (wait until you hear how much money was raised for the charity at BYEB!) and founder of Front Row Dads.

We talk about the power of seeing past attendees sharing how they achieved the results they set out to achieve the year before, the big lessons we learned this year, the great speakers we had the privilege of hosting, and why the transformational energy of Best Year Ever [Blueprint] is so hard to put into words.

Would you benefit from figuring out how to organize your thoughts while increasing your productivity? Our guest today, Ryder Carroll, famously created a worldwide movement and method known as “Bullet Journaling” (or what I call “Scribing 2.0”) that accomplishes both of those, simultaneously.

After struggling for years with organizing systems and finding that none worked the way his mind did (after being diagnosed with ADHD), he created Bullet Journaling — a new method to become consistently focused and effective.

He shared his invention with friends who suffered from similar challenges, and it went viral. His brand new, New York Times bestselling book is The Bullet Journal Method: Track the Past, Order the Present, Design the Future, and in it, he explores what it means to live an intentional life, one that's both productive and meaningful.

Ryder has been featured in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Fast Company, Bloomberg, LifeHacker, and Mashable. He’s also worked with companies including Adidas, American Express, Cisco, Macy's, IBM, and HP.

Sean Stephenson was born with a rare bone disorder called osteogenesis imperfecta. In fact, his parents were told that he likely had mere months to live.

30 years later, Sean is known worldwide as the “3 Foot Giant,” and with good reason. He’s worked at the White House, can count Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, and His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama among his admirers, has been interviewed by Oprah and Jimmy Kimmel, and has 10+ million views on his videos. He also appears in the upcoming Miracle Morning movie.

Sean is a powerful speaker and his mission is to rid the world of insecurity. He appeared at our Best Year Ever [Blueprint] LIVE experience in San Diego last weekend, and his talk was the one I wanted my wife and children to see more than any other. If you have unfulfilled goals, unfinished work, or dreams you still want to see through, it’s a must-listen.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Radha Agrawal, who is the CEO, founder and Chief Community Architect of Daybreaker and has built a global community made up of nearly 500,000 like-minded people.

In case you’re not familiar with Daybreaker – it is the early morning dance and wellness movement currently serving almost half a million people by holding events in 25 cities and over a dozen college campuses around the world.

Her new book, Belong: Find Your People, Create Community, and Live a More Connected Life, answers two big questions: “How the heck do I find my people?" and "How do I create large and meaningful communities in the real world?"

Radha spent 18 months synthesizing her key methods for community building, and now she’s peeling back the curtain on what she and her team did to build Daybreaker to give you a blueprint for how to create communities of your own.

Today, Radha joins the podcast to talk about the importance of building communities, how to find your tribe when you realize you don’t belong, how she created and built momentum for Daybreaker, and how to build your personal or professional community - no matter what your goals are.

We just had Thanksgiving in the United States – a day on which many of us are reminded to give thanks and express gratitude. BUT… Personally, I believe every day should essentially be like Thanksgiving, and maybe even much more than that.

The benefits of gratitude are countless, as studies have shown that people who regularly and actively practice gratitude are happier, have better relationships, and even a stronger immune system.

That’s why today, I want to explore gratitude as a foundational lens through which we experience our lives, relationships, and even adversity. I’ll share with you my daily gratitude practice, what it’s taught me, and the techniques and strategies I use to deepen and amplify the gratitude in my life.

Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your life; it means more to me than you might realize. As many of us will be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow, know that I am deeply thankful for you and for our community, and I appreciate that you allow me to be a (small) part of your life. I truly don’t take that lightly, as you’ll hear in the beginning of today’s podcast episode. :^)

Speaking of today’s episode, although the Miracle Morning has become a huge part of my life, it’s just been recently that I’ve started thinking about creating an evening routine to help me become a better, happier, and more effective person.

A practice that I started several weeks ago led me to create a (somewhat rough and unrefined) Miracle “Evening” routine – and it has already led me to some powerful insights and personal transformation.

On today’s podcast, I take you through the three steps of this evening routine that’s almost as new for me as it will be for you – and I highly encourage you to give it a try!

Many of us may not realize it (I’m definitely guilty of this), but we sometimes fall into the trap of being “personal development junkies” - often chasing the high from those incredible “aha!” moments that books give us, but we don’t always turn those lessons into real personal development or meaningful life changes.

In today’s solo episode, I dig into why this is, talk about how to integrate “book summaries” into your reading plan, as well as my personal hacks that help me read more books (hint: there’s an app for that) — and how to get more out of them faster than ever before.

Imagine if you possessed 4 powerful questions that would automatically (and almost instantly) put you in a positive state of mind, improve your relationships with every person in your life, and deepen your sense of purpose.

For those of you joining us in San Diego next month for the Best Year Ever Blueprint LIVE experience (December 7-9th), this conversation is the PERFECT preview of the event and these are the type of transformative questions that you’ll be engaging with next month.

Today’s podcast episode is an encore presentation of the #1 most popular episode we’ve ever done, which is an unscripted conversation between me and Jon Berghoff that originally aired live (with 4,000+ people watching), last year, and let’s just say it got VERY personal.

Today’s episode is the most important I’ve recorded for you in a long time and ends with me giving you a simple 3-step solution to quickly (and literally) transform any area of your life, as I recently did after having a painful realization... I’ve been a mediocre dad.

That hurts to admit—even to myself. But the other night, I had a profound personal breakthrough when I suddenly realized that I’ve fallen back into some old patterns and have been settling for mediocrity in the area of my life that matters more to me than anything… my children.

Part of the breakthrough was realizing that I’ve been oblivious, delusional and in denial about this. AND… I realized that being oblivious, delusional and in denial about our blind spots is something we ALL suffer from in one way or another. Thus, it is crucial that we all give ourselves the reality check that I’m sharing with you in today’s episode.

If you think you’re settling for mediocrity in any way, it’s time for you to get out of your comfort zone, engage in a reality check, and schedule time for reflection in whatever areas you need to address.

Before today’s guest embarked on his mission to save millions of lives, he had to save his own.

Scott Harrison was one of New York City’s premier nightclub promoters, doing drugs, drinking heavily, deeply unfulfilled and on the verge of self-destructing. In today’s podcast episode, he tells me his riveting story of how he came to declare spiritual, moral, and emotional bankruptcy – and uses it as a catalyst to change the world…

Now, Scott has made lists such as Fortune’s 40 Under 40, Forbes’ Impact 30, and was #10 on Fast Company’s 100 most creative people in business, as well as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. He is the CEO and founder of Charity Water, an organization dedicated to helping people in developing nations get access to clean and safe drinking water. Charity Water has provided clean drinking water to over 8.5 million people in 26 countries.

I’ve been enamored with Scott’s story, passion, and vision – which are the basis of his new book, Thirst: A Story of Redemption, Compassion, and a Mission to Bring Clean Water to the World.

Today, he joins the podcast to share insights from his remarkable journey and personal transformation, in a way that can inspire you to do the same.

Wow. I was nearly speechless during and after my conversation with today’s guest, Akshay Nanavati, who is as fascinating as he is brilliant. After serving during the Iraq War, he returned home and found himself suffering from addiction, post-traumatic stress, survivor’s guilt, depression, and alcoholism.

On the brink of suicide, Akshay discovered a unique way to find gifts in what most of us view as “negative” emotions—such as fear, stress, and anxiety—so that they would no longer hold him back. In fact, these emotions became fuel to help him achieve his greatest goals, including running across 8 countries (on his way to running across EVERY country in the world).

His new book, Fearvana, is his actionable guide to transforming fear and struggle into boundless bliss. Today, he joins the podcast to share his unbelievable story and teach us exactly how he turns what should be debilitating adversities into major successes.

Jesse Levine was my first mentor, and it’s safe to say that his impact on my life has been as crucial to my success as that of any other person. In fact, when people ask me who I attribute my mindset or my success to, I always say, “It’s half mom and dad, and half Jesse.

We met when I was 19, and Jesse was 23. He was my manager at Cutco—the #1 manager in the 50-year history of the company—and he didn’t just help me break national sales records, he helped me to fulfill my potential in ways I never even knew existed.

With a combination of vision, talent, and high standards, Jesse brings out the best in people consistently. His enthusiasm is contagious, and as a serial entrepreneur, he brings it to every single project he takes on.

Today, Jesse joins the podcast to share a few fun stories from our time at Cutco, including how he reached goals seen as impossible by managers 10+ years older than he was when he reached them, how to get highly talented people to buy into your vision, and how he makes things happen that have never been done before.

Gone are the days when education was something that only happened at the start of your career. The name of today's game, both personally and professionally, is to be constantly learning: just enough, just in time, and never stopping.

In today’s podcast, I have an intriguing conversation with Danny Iny – the CEO of Mirasee – who is on a mission to provide business education that equips professionals and entrepreneurs with the tools to impact their communities and change the world.

I met Danny at a mastermind in Austin and was instantly impressed by his character, integrity, and value-driven approach. He cares deeply about the people he serves.

Today, he joins the podcast to talk about the problems facing our education system and job market - and how you can use this transformational time to both get ahead and empower others.

But… before you listen to the podcast, you can get a free copy of Danny’s new book, Leveraged Learning: How the Disruption of Education Helps Lifelong Learners, and Experts with Something to Teach. In it, he explores robust, affordable, and viable new models of education for both students and educators alike. (*You can download Danny’s book for free, here.)

While in the midst of battling cancer (three days after I received a 96-hour chemotherapy treatment), I left the hospital in Houston, TX and flew to Orlando, FL and gave my signature keynote speech in front of 2,500 distributors at the Pure Romance 2017 World Conference.

It was the most terrifying speech of my life (because of the circumstances, which I expand on in the opening minutes of today’s podcast) and somehow turned out to be one of the best speeches I’ve ever given! Today’s podcast is a special episode – the audio from that speech.

You’ll hear the story of the several times I hit rock bottom in my life, how I came up with the Miracle Morning, and the “emotional invincibility” strategy I’ve used to deal with everything life has thrown at me, and which you can use to maintain a positive emotional state in the midst of anything life throws at you (car accidents, cancer, traffic, bad days, difficult people… anything!)

If you’ve never heard my Miracle Morning keynote before, now’s a great opportunity to listen. If you have, I hope you enjoy this refresher.

Many people rely on multiple cups of coffee or products like 5 Hour Energy to get through the day. Far more of us choose not to prioritize our health until it becomes a serious issue - and one thing we often don’t think about is how the food we eat impacts our energy levels and resulting motivation (or lack thereof) throughout the day.

Today, I’m talking to you about how to change that in order to naturally feel more energetic and live a longer, healthier, happier life. By the end of this episode, I want you to start to choose foods based on long-term health consequences instead of just taste.

Along the way, I’ll share with you insights from my own eating habits, strategies to transform your overall diet, and how you can still eat yummy food for every single meal.

Patricia Moreno has been training, mentoring, and educating people all over the world for over 30 years. Her struggles with weight (she weighed in at 212 pounds in 8th grade), eating disorders, and body image led her to create IntenSati - a multidisciplinary study of fitness, martial arts, nutrition, dance, and spiritual practice, which is now taught by thousands of instructors all over the world.

I met Patricia at a speaking event and quickly discovered that she views fitness as a “spiritual” practice beyond just the physical. In other words, you’ve got to be fit both inside and out. And since beating cancer, I’ve realized that our HEALTH is not merely important, it needs to be our #1 priority, otherwise we won’t have the energy to optimize and enjoy our other priorities.

Patricia’s work has been acclaimed by international experts and featured in publications such as Shape, Vogue, and O: The Oprah Magazine, and I’m thrilled to have her on the podcast to share her story and introduce you to the power of “Spiritual Fitness.”

When world class organizations like Harvard University, YPO, EO, and others want to help their people succeed at home, they call Jim Sheils. As the founder of 18 Summers, Jim is on a mission to deepen relationships for entrepreneur families. And his book, The Family Board Meeting, has been a game changer for me and my family.

Jim and his wife have been referred to as “Crazy Glue for families.” His work helps parents connect with their children in fun and experiential ways, revolutionizes life as a family, and helps entrepreneurs balance success at work and at home.

Jim’s views on education are also very much in alignment with my own, and he’s working to change our education system to better prepare children for the more practical affairs of life - and you’ll soon know why his book was recommended to me over and over again.

Who are the people in your life who rub you the wrong way because of what they say or do? Is there anyone who you hold resentment towards?

Maybe it’s much deeper than just being “rubbed the wrong way”—maybe you’ve been wronged and deeply hurt by someone in your life.

In today’s solo podcast episode (this may be one of the most important episodes I’ve ever recorded), I explore why we judge others, how that’s detrimental for us, and how to never judge another person again—no matter what they say or do—so that you never have to suffer from the negative emotions that judgment creates.

I also share my own experiences with forgiving people who have wronged me, practicing unconditional love, and why I always replace judgment with empathy—even with difficult people and in seemingly impossible situations.

Jon Berghoff walked into Christopher Lochhead’s Play Bigger keynote at the One Life Fully Lived conference in Sacramento in 2016. Just a few minutes in, Jon realized that Christopher was expertly teaching how legendary companies (like Facebook) become that way by designing a category.

Over the last few years, Christopher has gotten one question more than almost any other: “How does ‘category design’ apply to me if I’m not going to be the next Mark Zuckerberg?” His answer is Niche Down - a book about how “small” entrepreneurs and people who are seen as unique, different or ground-breaking achieve great success by developing niches of their own.

He joins the podcast to share success stories of entrepreneurs selling crazy socks, sushi burritos, bundt cakes, reggae, surfing, and more - and you’ll almost definitely be surprised by what you learn.

You may remember a month or so ago when I emailed about the experience of me convincing my daughter to watch a documentary, which inspired her to ask me if we could deliver care package to homeless individuals, the next morning.

Well, we did exactly that, and I’ve been blown away by the impact that the film made for her and our family.

The film was Look To The Sky, and after being so moved by it, I reached out to the man who made the film, and asked him if I could interview him on the Achieve Your Goals podcast. It is my pleasure to introduce to you, Brett Culp.

After serving as a personal cinematographer to Hollywood stars, iconic musicians, authors, athletes, and even royal families, Brett Culp has built a unique career telling tales of everyday superheroes. His heartwarming films capture human experiences and inspire people all over the world, and his work has been featured in USA Today, Entertainment Tonight, Wired, and The Hollywood Reporter.

It wasn't very long ago that Chip Franks was taken out on a stretcher in the middle of a conference for entrepreneurs after just having a stroke. As his wife cried and his children were alone in their hotel room, one question consumed his mind: "Did I tell them everything I wanted to tell them?"

This led to him quitting his job to write a book outlining everything he’d want his kids to know if he wasn't around. The result? Life Lessons From Dad: 101 Ways To Get More Out of Life From Someone Who Loves You - a 685 page handbook for life.

Chip is an entrepreneur at heart - he started early, selling calendars door to door as a child, and went on to build and sell a real estate and property management company after 20 years as a broker. He’s shared stages with Tony Robbins, Peter Diamandis, Lewis Howes, Daymond John, Simon Sinek, and today, he joins the podcast to share life lessons and his practical instructions for how to realize them.

When Nick Santonastasso was born, he was given a 30% chance of surviving birth. One of only 12 people in the world born with Hanhart Syndrome – an extremely rare genetic disorder that caused Nick to be born with no legs, only one arm, and one finger. Growing up was hard, and Nick found himself self-loathing and thinking about ending his life.

However, more than just surviving, Nick found his WHY when he became a high school wrestler and professional bodybuilder. Now, he is sharing his experience with people all over the world as a keynote speaker at schools, non-profits, as well as Fortune 500 companies. He can even count Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Tony Robbins among his admirers.

I’m meeting Nick for the very first time today on the podcast. He shares stories of how he overcame his limitations to achieve everything he’s ever wanted, so that you can do the same.

You’ll hear about what he did to survive the darkest years of his life, and how he’s built a truly extraordinary career out of using challenges to inspire people to push through their suffering and live life without limitations - just like he does.
